Account Manager, Strategic Partnerships | California -Bay Area

We are seeking an Account Manager, Strategic Partnerships to cultivate strong, trusted relationships with our referral partners in the Bay Area and drive the success of our partnerships. Your primary goal will be to ensure these relationships are engaged, profitable, and long-lasting.

This role will require regular travel within the Bay Area. Reporting to the Head of Account Management, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across a portfolio of named accounts. To excel, you must have strong communication and relationship-building skills, with experience in Account Management, Business Development, and/or Customer Success within healthcare or mental health industries.

You are a proactive problem-solver and strategic thinker, known for your ability to listen, communicate, and adapt in dynamic environments. You thrive in a mission-driven organization and are resourceful, empathetic, and eager to nurture partner relationships.

About Talkiatry:

Talkiatry transforms psychiatry with accessible, human, and responsible care. We’re a national mental health practice co-founded by a patient and a triple-board-certified psychiatrist to improve access and quality of treatment.

60% of adults in the U.S. with a diagnosable mental illness go untreated annually due to inaccessibility, and 45% of clinicians are out of network with insurers. We leverage technology and a human-centered approach to provide necessary care and support psychiatrists.

You will:
  • Manage long-term relationships to increase engagement, patient growth, and provider retention
  • Proactively communicate with partners to build trust and set expectations
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Partnerships team to ensure seamless transition to Account Management and identify growth opportunities
  • Act as liaison between referral partners and internal teams
  • Engage with operational leads, referral coordinators, staff, and doctors to understand and meet their needs
  • Coordinate and lead training sessions for doctors and staff on Talkiatry services and referral workflows
  • Ensure partners are informed about our services to grow referrals and convert to new patient appointments
  • Handle issue resolution, escalations, and problem-solving to maintain strong partnerships
  • Work cross-functionally to enhance the partner experience
  • Prepare and present partnership performance reports and forecasts
  • Expand partnerships with tailored solutions
  • Attend conferences and networking events to build brand awareness and relationships
You have:
  • Based in Northern California
  • 4+ years’ experience in healthcare business development or account management
  • Mental health experience is a plus
  • Ability to travel within the Bay Area (approximately 75%)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Communications, Psychology, Healthcare, or related field
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot) and Microsoft Office

Compensation ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 plus quarterly bonuses, with OTE of $100,000 to $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
