Territory Manager

IMT Insurance is hiring for a Territory Manager. This individual will work out of their home and be responsible for the Northwest Iowa territory. You will be part of our Marketing & Sales team, responsible for district results and promoting new and existing products in personal and commercial lines, including bonds. A Day in the Life
  • Promote new and existing insurance products within an assigned District through agent training and education.
  • Plan and meet district goals.
  • Set goals with each agency and monitor progress throughout the year.
  • Review each agency’s business balance and profitability during calls.
  • Use underwriting authority to assess risk acceptability, possibly including personal inspections.
  • Handle disciplinary situations and resolve issues with agencies within the District.
  • Monitor exceptions and special risk acceptance for profitability.
  • Assist with re-underwriting, loss control, and collections.
  • Provide weekly call reports to the manager.
  • Prospect potential new agency appointments.
  • Call on all Class I agencies and Mutuals within the area once per month.
  • Support co-op advertising and promotional materials.
  • Assist with field training and ongoing training of new employees.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
What You’ll Need
  • Ability to manage workflow and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in operating complex office computer systems and accurately processing information.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in a professional manner.
  • Valid driver’s license for field work.
  • Technical expertise and awareness of current industry trends.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Property & Casualty license is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 2-4 years relevant experience.
Benefits & Perks

IMT offers comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, AD&D, 401K, and more. This role includes remote work options, learning and development opportunities, and a salary range of $71,000 to $92,000, depending on experience. Note: This position is not tip or commission eligible but may qualify for bonuses.
