KWS Cereals USA LLC is seeking a Territory Manager to ensure the successful introduction and establishment of hybrid rye sales and related services in the Upper Midwest US. The role involves collaborating with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to optimize sales in terms of value and volume. This position is home office-based with an expectation of 50% travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Relationships with Seed Dealers and Distributors:
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing and new dealers and distributors in the region.
- Handle dealer/distributor agreements, manage invoicing and debtor accounts.
- Collaborate with the US Sales Manager to set sales goals and pricing strategies.
- Promote Hybrid Rye to Farmers:
- Generate farmer interest through field days, training, and events.
- Provide growing recommendations and support, including crop rotation advice.
- Market Analysis and Integration:
- Identify market needs and develop solutions to incorporate hybrid rye, especially for pig and cattle feeding and KWS Cover+.
- User Experience:
- Engage directly with users to gather feedback and improve experience.
- Sales Targets and Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales targets, create visit reports.
- Analyze market data to identify opportunities.
- Maintain customer data in CRM (Salesforce).
- Support Agronomic Trials and Research:
- Assist in coordinating trials, understand plot work, and analyze data.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in sales and developing new markets in agriculture.
- Technical knowledge of small grains cultivation.
- Strong teamwork, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and work outdoors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CRM/Salesforce and SAP.
- Over 5 years of relevant work experience.
We Offer:
- Salary between $65,000 and $80,000, plus annual bonus. Final pay depends on location and qualifications.
