Job summary

GEICO is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to grow agency relationships and increase GEICO-affiliated product profits within an assigned OH area. You will oversee policy translation into local goals, train and manage agents, and implement growth plans with leadership input.

The role requires insurance experience, strong relationship skills, and the ability to travel up to 30% in the Cleveland region. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3 years sales or relevant insurance experience (claims preferred)
• Experience driving sales results across multiple channels
• Strong communication and relationship-building with agents and leadership

Responsibilities

• Prospects, interviews, and approves new appointments to expand GEICO’s agency distribution.
• Manage agents within a designated area using in person, virtual, phone, and email to build relationships, deliver trainings, and manage agency performance.
• Translate national initiatives into local goals and objectives; gain commitment and hold agents accountable for execution.
• Monitor agent performance against goals, provide coaching, and take disciplinary action if needed.
• Develop local marketing plans and growth strategies with agencies and leadership guidance.
• Prepare department plans, staffing projections and budgets; ensure cost-effective operations.
