Job summary

AAP Automation, a division of OTC Industrial Technologies, is excited to hire an Industrial Automation Sales Representative to own and grow a territory in Idaho. You will sell a comprehensive portfolio—machine and motion control, safety systems and robotics—supported by a strong applications and product specialist team.

In this role you’ll build relationships, develop local plans to exceed targets, and coordinate with in-house engineers to deliver tailored automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or 3+ years of industrial distribution or technical sales experience.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, manuals and vendor catalogs.
• Proven track record of year-over-year sales growth and new account acquisition.
• Strong planning, organization, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated with territory management and adaptability in a changing market.
• High proficiency with CRM and MS Office; valid driver's license; able to work in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Grow your territory by performing strategic sales calls and local plans to exceed annual goals.
• Build relationships and pipeline across organizational levels, and prepare tailored proposals.
• Sell collaboratively with in-house engineers and product specialists to co-sell complex automation solutions.
• Stay informed on robotics, IIoT and advanced controls to position as a solutions authority.
• Maintain organized activity, opportunity tracking and CRM records.
