Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is hiring a Territory Manager for Hard Surface Flooring to grow Shaw's profitability and market share in Central Indiana (Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Muncie, Anderson IN).

The role emphasizes building strong relationships with flooring dealers, designers, and end-users, implementing market programs, and managing sample budgets. The position covers a Central Indiana territory and requires travel and hands-on display work.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED and 1 year of sales experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must reside in the market.
• Must be able to travel in a vehicle that can carry a number of product sample boards requiring a van or an approved SUV.
• Ability to lift samples and build displays, up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include some evenings.
• Proven experience using a laptop computer and basic Microsoft Windows software including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Daily sales calls on existing customers focusing on hard surface products.
• Present products to dealers, designers and end-users; analyze leads.
• Sell and build display racks weighing 50lbs+ on a regular basis.
• Continually prospect for viable new accounts while developing a keen awareness of market activity in the area.
• Prepare reports of business transactions and sales reports showing sales volume and potential sales.
• Prepare and communicate periodic sales reports outlining actual sales information and goals, market conditions and product needs.
• Analyze sales statistics using territory reports to aid goal setting and dealer promotion.
• Analyze and control travel and entertainment expenditures and sample budget within budgetary guidelines.
• Enter all customer interactions into Salesforce.com.
• Promote residential products including Shaw Floors, Anderson Tuftex, and Philly Commercial.
