Job summary

Milestone Treatment Center is seeking a Community Outreach Representative to grow our referral network across Central and Western Virginia. This field-based, remote-friendly role focuses on building relationships with hospitals, providers, and community organizations to connect individuals with behavioral health treatment.

You’ll conduct face-to-face meetings, deliver presentations, and develop strategic partnerships while coordinating with Admissions and Clinical teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in business development, healthcare sales, physician liaison, community outreach, or behavior healthcare marketing preferred.
• Experience in substance use disorder treatment, behavior health, mental health, healthcare, or related industries preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to develop professional relationships and generate new business or referrals.
• Strong networking, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and territory-management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, field-based environment.
• CRM platforms experience; Salesforce is a plus.
• Comfortable using Google Workspace and other business tech.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively throughout the territory.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow a network of referral partners in your territory.
• Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with hospitals, physicians, therapists, and other providers.
• Identify and pursue new referral and business-development opportunities.
• Educate referral partners about Milestone’s programs, services, and admissions process.
• Develop relationships that generate consistent, qualified referrals.
• Represent Milestone at networking events, conferences, and health fairs.
• Deliver presentations, lunch-and-learns, CEU programs, and educational events.
