Job summary

Melton Truck Lines is seeking a Territory Account Manager to work with contracted customers, secure loads and plan them on our trucks for productivity and profitability.

You will coordinate with Inside Sales and iTech, enter loads into AS400, schedule pickups, and maintain customer profiles while balancing truck capacity across the territory. Strong organizational skills and customer focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 2 years fast-paced customer service experience.
• Logistics or planning experience preferred.
• Familiar with Word, Excel and AS400 (preferred, not required).
• Must communicate clearly under pressure and prioritize fast-paced workloads.

Responsibilities

• Solicit freight from contracted customers.
• Coordinate with Inside Sales and iTech groups to secure loads.
• Enter loads into AS400 system, timely and correctly.
• Schedule pickup appointments with customers for efficient transit.
• Create and maintain customer, shipper and consignee profiles.
• Maintain daily communication with Inside Sales and Regional Sales Reps on truck/load balances.
