Job summary

Nestlé USA is seeking a Field Sales Representative to own and deliver sales for the Fairfield, CA territory by building relationships with store managers and retail staff. You will cover wall‑to‑wall Nestlé items, address out‑of‑stock issues, new items, and promotions while traveling within 50 miles of Fairfield.

The role requires a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred), 2+ years retail sales experience, and a valid driver’s license; proficiency in MS Office and POS systems is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Marketing, Psychology or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of retail sales, merchandising or retail management experience of CPG products preferred, not required.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License in good standing.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
• Strong communication (oral and written), selling and analytical skills; proficiency in MS Office and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Sell incremental volume for display and obtain maximum support for promoted products.
• Sell promotional surveys for displays.
• Sell additional products based on opportunities observed.
• Collaborate with store/district personnel to create and execute business reviews that drive volume.
• Lead expenditure of financial resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
• Ensure pricing guidelines compliance at retail level.
• Report competitive price changes and promotion support; resolve pricing issues.
• Identify and correct voids; ensure new items are available.
• Merchandise products to achieve schematic compliance and shelf rotation; handle unsellable product and out-of-stocks issues.
• Develop and maintain relations with department/store level personnel to maximize sales results.
• Communicate market insights from retail level to management.
