Job summary

Nestlé USA is seeking a Field Sales Representative to own and deliver sales for the Fairfield, CA territory by building relationships with store managers and retail staff. You will drive wall-to-wall coverage, optimize item speed to shelf, and ensure promotional support and price compliance.

You must live within 50 miles of Fairfield, CA, have a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred), 2+ years of retail CMG experience, a valid driver's license, and strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of retail sales, merchandising or retail management experience of CPG products preferred, not required.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License in good standing.
• Must have excellent customer service and organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
• Must possess strong communication (oral and written), selling and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook) and other POS systems.
• Ability to analyze financial, inventory, retail conditions and/or other data to utilize appropriate selling techniques.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
• Must be willing and able to travel.

Responsibilities

• Sell incremental volume for display and obtain maximum support for promoted products.
• Sell promotional surveys for displays.
• Sell additional products based on opportunities observed.
• Collaborates with targeted store-level/district-level retail operations personnel to create and execute business reviews that drive volume.
• Leads expenditure of financial resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
• Ensures compliance to pricing guidelines at retail level.
• Reports competitive price changes and promotional support and resolves competitive pricing issues.
• Identify and correct voids and ensure new items are available.
• Merchandise products to obtain schematic compliance, pack out shelves, rotate products, handle unsellable product and resolve systemic problems related to out-of-stocks and voids.
• Develops and maintains proper relations with department/store level personnel within territory in order maximize sales results.
• Communicates market insights from the retail level to management.
