Job summary

BigIron is seeking a motivated Equipment Sales Representative to drive growth in agricultural equipment on its online auction platform. The role focuses on developing customer relationships, securing consignments, and guiding buyers and sellers through the auction process from start to finish.

Field-based outside sales with daily local travel and a home-based office when not meeting customers. Base salary + commission, with total compensation often in six figures depending on performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales, territory management, or business development experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel regularly within the territory.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with farmers, ranchers, landowners, dealers, and local ag businesses.
• Prospect for new business through in-person visits, referrals, networking, and phone outreach.
• Meet with customers on farms, at shops, and throughout the territory.
• Evaluate equipment and discuss auction timing, pricing, and selling options.
• Secure consignment agreements for upcoming auctions.
• Coordinate with marketing, listing, and operations teams to prepare equipment for sale.
• Support customers throughout the auction process and after the sale.
• Manage and grow revenue within the assigned territory.
