Job summary

American Electric Power is seeking a Cust Svcs Acct Rep in South Bend, IN to serve as the primary field customer relations resource for residential and commercial customers within an assigned territory. You will manage service orders, coordinate with internal teams, and promote company programs while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, engineering, management or related field with 2+ years customer contact experience.
• Associate degree with 4+ years customer contact experience.
• HS Diploma or GED with 6+ years customer contact experience.
• Must have working knowledge of field activities related to customer services and electrical distribution operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Primary Point of Contact for all service orders and balance customer and company needs.
• Investigate, resolve and document customer service orders, issues and complaints; ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Coordinate with internal departments and field teams to address access issues and service requirements.
• Maintain documentation and compliance with guidelines
• Assist Engineering and Distribution teams with service requirements and access issues
