Job summary

West Central FS, Inc is seeking a Territory Sales Consultant in Illinois to sell crops inputs including fertilizers, seed, and services. You will travel within the territory to build brand awareness, secure orders, and provide agronomic recommendations.

The role requires an associate degree in agriculture/marketing or related experience, strong planning and communication skills, and willingness to travel, with a comprehensive benefits package and potential bonuses or incentives based on

Qualifications

• Associates degree in agriculture, marketing, or business or equivalent experience.
• Strong planning, organization, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use computer systems to enhance processes.
• Willingness to travel within the trade area and occasional overnight stays.
• Licenses and certifications as required; seller/solicitor license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Conducts territory and competitive analyses to stay current on the market and competition.
• Travels within the assigned territory to build brand awareness, strengthen customer relationships, and secure orders.
• Implements target marketing plans and uses FS sales interview road map to generate profitable sales.
• Provides value-added agronomic products, services, and recommendations.
• Coordinates product delivery and application schedules with location manager.
• Supports customers through soil testing, crop scouting, and follow-ups; resolves issues.
• Promotes credit programs and prepares sales contracts; collects payments per policy.
• Displays field signs on customer fields to promote FS products.
• Maintains assigned vehicle and presents a professional image.
• Follows Code of Conduct, compliance, OSHA/DOT policies.
