Job summary

South Central FS, located in St Peter, IL, is seeking a Crop Specialist to grow profitable sales in the assigned territory through direct outreach, target marketing, and agronomic recommendations. This outside sales role focuses on existing customers and new prospects, with emphasis on delivering value and building credit-approved contracts.

Under the Area Manager, you will use soil testing, crop scouting, and precision farming as part of the service, travel as needed, and maintain compliance

Qualifications

• College degree required; willingness to engage in training.
• Strong understanding of on-farm production practices.
• Persistence to maintain high sales call frequency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct direct sales calls on at least 20 prospective customers and service existing accounts.
• Drive profitable sales growth and obtain orders/contracts for FS products.
• Assist in marketing plans and sales strategies.
• Provide agronomic recommendations using soil testing, crop scouting, and precision farming.
• Travel as needed and maintain vehicle in good condition.
