Job summary

Johnson Controls Security in the United States is seeking a Commercial Sales Account Executive to generate new business, grow existing commercial accounts, and support renewals within a defined territory. You will build a strong pipeline, develop local customers, and close opportunities across integrated security solutions.

Expect to manage call plans, coordinate with internal teams, and maintain in-depth knowledge of Johnson Controls Security products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of successful commercial sales experience in security, IT, or related tech sales.
• Ability to present to senior-level executives within customer and Johnson Controls Security organizations.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule and travel locally.
• Strong organization, follow-up, and territory management skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell Johnson Controls Security services and technology within an assigned territory.
• Create new market share by developing local commercial customers and closing new business.
• Expand existing accounts through add-ons, amendments, conversions, upgrades, and renewals.
• Identify and pursue resale opportunities while maintaining productive relationships with current customers.
• Use lead-generating techniques to identify prospects and build a strong pipeline.
• Establish call plans, follow-up strategies, and effective territory management practices.
• Obtain referrals and collaborate with Centers of Influence to support business development.
• Maintain knowledge of the full product line, services, and customer issues.
• Process work orders and complete required paperwork per procedures.
• Conduct post-installation follow-up to confirm commitments and customer satisfaction.
