Job summary

WS Building Materials is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to drive growth across our contractor and builder network in Houston. You will prospect, present product lines, prepare bids, and close profitable sales of wholesale building products.

You will travel within the territory, build dealer relationships, and develop selling aids for branch teams to expand market share while maintaining product and customer diversity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience and/or marketing experience.
• Wholesale Lumber industry knowledge.
• Proficient with MS Office/Excel and Outlook.
• Ability and willingness to travel for trade shows, demonstrations, and client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Sell building materials to contractors, builders, and installers and drive profitable sales.
• Market products to the dealer community and develop selling aids for the territory.
• Prospect, cold call, and develop new clients while nurturing existing accounts.
• Prepare bids, proposals, and estimates; close sales and achieve territory goals.
• Maintain regular visits with customers and coordinate with vendor sales teams.
