Job summary

AgVantage FS in Iowa seeks a field-based marketer and sales professional to grow customer relationships and expand our agronomy and agri-finance offerings. You will promote fertilizer, crop protection, seed products and services in the assigned territory, scheduling deliveries and advising customers on agronomic solutions.

Responsibilities include developing territory plans, utilizing FS sales tools, and maintaining customer credit and documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in agriculture, marketing, or business (or equivalent).
• 2+ years of related work experience in production agriculture.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Professional certifications such as CCA, CCS, CPAg, or Commercial Applicator may be required.
• willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Implements marketing plans and develops sales strategies to generate profitable sales in the assigned territory.
• Uses target marketing and FS sales interview road map to call on patrons and prospects.
• Develops territory/competitive analyses to stay current on the market and competition.
• Provides agronomic products, services and recommendations; schedules delivery and application.
• Delivers customer service through soil testing, crop scouting and issue resolution.
• Manages credit terms, quotes prices, and prepares sales contracts; promotes credit programs.
• Maintains vehicle, adheres to uniform policy and professional image.
• Displays field signs to promote FS products; updates key accounts profiles and prospect lists.
• Collects payments for sales per credit policy; maintains technical and sales certification standards.
