Pharmaceutical Sales Rep (Entry Level and/or Specialty)

As a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, you will manage your territory to maintain existing physician groups, clinics, and primary care offices. You will work closely with management and colleagues to achieve sales goals, providing quality consultative service and coordinating outside alliances and internal resources to meet customer needs.

Major Responsibilities of a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep:

Manage territory accounts, identify key decision makers, and inform influential physicians about pharmaceutical and medical products. Balance time effectively to meet targets and keep your skills and product knowledge current. Develop strategies to compete and succeed in the healthcare marketplace.

Key Duties include:

  • Customer focus and building positive relationships, penetrating large accounts, and identifying decision makers.
  • Developing a customer base through creative strategies.
  • Creating territory plans with goals and resource allocation.
  • Gaining formulary acceptance and compliance with managed care accounts.
  • Collaborating with customers as business partners, seeking new opportunities, and understanding market trends.
  • Using consultative skills to assist customers with their business needs.
  • Marketing and selling vertical products.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Some sales experience or related abilities.
  • Ability to work remotely and use ZOOM software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to target healthcare professionals to maximize sales and product volume.
  • Effective selling skills and product knowledge to influence prescribing behaviors.
  • Analyzing territory data to optimize routes and achieve results.
  • Utilizing sales tools and resources for planning and activity management.
  • Leveraging customer knowledge to address healthcare providers' and patients' needs.
