Job summary

City Rent A Truck is seeking a Territory Account Manager to drive growth in the Southeast U.S. You will develop and manage a high-potential book of business for both rental and upfitting services, and travel to customer sites to build strong relationships.

This full-time role requires 4+ years of B2B sales experience, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record in prospecting and closing new business while upholding our core values.

Qualifications

• Experience in truck rental or upfitting preferred.
• Proven prospecting and closing track record.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

We are seeking a Territory Account Manager to support the continued growth of both brands within a defined region in the Southeast U.S. This is a newly created role designed for a high-performing sales professional who thrives on building relationships, driving revenue, and executing strategic regional growth plans.

This position blends business development, account management, regional strategy execution, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver exceptional customer service and measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Represent the core values of both City Rent A Truck and City Truck Upfitters in all interactions
• Prospect new business for both rental and upfitting services
• Maintain and grow an existing book of business
• Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with company objectives
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within current accounts
• Partner cross-functionally with departments to ensure customer commitments are met
• Represent both brands at trade shows, customer visits, and industry networking events
• Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Leadership on targeted regional campaigns
• Stay informed on competitive activity and trends within the truck rental and vocational upfitting industries
• Support national account relationships in coordination with other sales team members
• Travel to customer sites as needed
• Perform related administrative tasks

Qualifications

• 4+ years of B2B sales experience-Preferred
• Experience in truck rental, equipment rental, fleet services, or vocational upfitting -Preferred
• Proven track record of prospecting and closing new business
• Strong negotiation skills and technical aptitude
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Ability to lift 25 lbs., conduct vehicle walk-arounds, and stand for extended periods
• Must pass background check and drug screening
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

Schedule & Travel

• Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required based on workload and project timelines.
• Overnight and same-day travel is expected and includes trade shows, customer visits, and prospecting. Hotel, airfare, and meal stipend are covered by the company.
