Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking a Program Manager for the Terrain Following Radar (TFR) portfolio to lead program strategy, execution, and new business development. This onsite role collaborates with US government customers and internal teams to ensure cost, schedule, and technical performance meet mission requirements.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in program management of defense software and systems, with experience using EVMS, IMP, IMS and R&O processes, and strong leadership to drive

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and 5 years experience.
• Experience leading software development, production, and/or sustainment programs.
• Experience managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for programs with use of program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management, Scope Board, or similar business processes.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to include, but not limited to, Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Quality Management, Logistics, Data Management (CDRL support) and/or administrative functions

Responsibilities

• Accountability for profit and loss, program execution, and EAC inputs
• Set program priorities, resolve conflicts and barriers, support internal and external reviews with leadership and the customer(s)
• Coordinating and aligning interactions, dependencies, and transactions directly with the customer(s)
• Provide leadership and direction to a cross functional team
• Understand and represent customer needs to leadership
• Building and maintaining excellent relationships with the customer counterparts
• Responsible for managing risk, opportunity, cost, quality and schedule performance
• Expected to support domestic travel as needed
