Job summary

Parker Towing, a division of Guardian Fleet Services, is seeking a Terminal Manager to lead daily terminal operations, supervise dispatch, and oversee fleet maintenance. You will manage budgets, ensure safety compliance, and foster a productive team environment with a focus on service quality and regulatory adherence.

The role emphasizes leadership, logistics expertise, and strong stakeholder engagement with police, municipal accounts, and private customers in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA rules and HOS tracking.
• Proficient with dispatch software, computer logs, and general office tools.
• Excellent crisis-management and problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in transportation or terminal operations.
• CDL Class A license is a plus.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and stakeholder engagement.
• In-depth knowledge of logistics, operations, personnel management, and safety regulations.
• Exceptional decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial budgets, cost control, and pricing strategies for services.
• Supervise daily towing, roadside recovery, and dispatch operations; coordinate trucks, drivers, and staff.
• Hire, train, schedule, and mentor drivers and yard personnel; manage on-call rotations.
• Ensure fleet maintenance with inspections and DVIR; coordinate repairs.
• Enforce FMCSA/HOS safety rules and maintain driver qualification files.
• Serve as liaison with customers, carriers, and local authorities to resolve issues.
