Job summary

Guardian Fleet Services, Parker Towing, Fort Wayne division, is seeking a Terminal Manager to oversee daily terminal operations, logistics, and safety compliance. You will lead personnel, manage budgets, and coordinate dispatch for private motorists, commercial accounts, and police departments.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, 3–5 years in transportation or terminal operations, and a focus on efficiency and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

Strong working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA rules and HOS tracking.
Proficient with dispatch software, computer logs, and general office tools.
Excellent crisis-management and problem-solving skills under pressure.

Responsibilities

Financial Oversight: manage budgets, control operating costs, track cash flow and set pricing for services.
Operations & Dispatch: supervise daily towing, roadside recovery, and vehicle impound operations; coordinate dispatch calls.
Staff Management: hire, train, schedule, mentor drivers and yard personnel; run team meetings.
Fleet Maintenance: ensure trucks and units pass inspections and coordinate repairs.
Safety & Compliance: enforce FMCSA/HOS rules and maintain driver qualification files.
Customer & Municipal Relations: liaise with customers, carriers, and local authorities.
