Job summary

Howards Wrecker, a division of Guardian Fleet Services, seeks a Terminal Manager to lead the daily operations of a transportation terminal, overseeing personnel, dispatch, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role reports to the Regional Vice President.

You will manage budgets, supervise towing and recovery operations, and act as liaison with customers and law enforcement, ensuring efficient, compliant terminal performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA rules and HOS tracking.
• Proficient with dispatch software, computer logs, and general office tools.
• Excellent crisis-management and problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in transportation or terminal operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily terminal operations and dispatch.
• Manage budgets, payroll review, and overtime to ensure efficiency.
• Hire, train, and mentor drivers and yard personnel.
• Ensure safety compliance with FMCSA/HOS.
• Maintain vendor and customer relationships.
• Coordinate terminal budgets and financial performance.
