Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or management preferred.
• 3-5 years of management experience in a relevant field.
• Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze issues and solve problems.
• Working knowledge of transportation logistics.
• Familiarity with applicable safety regulations.
• Ability to balance competing priorities under pressure.
• Proficient use of scheduling and dispatching systems.
• Skills in computer use and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise terminal team, including hiring, training, and evaluations.
• Oversee multiple properties in the metro area and balance drivers with demand.
• Develop and maintain efficient staff and vehicle schedules to optimize workflow.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and policies, with regular inspections and training.
• Prepare daily reports for customers and leadership; attend meetings as needed.
• Monitor driver safety and proper loading procedures.
• Identify yard and equipment needs and initiate repairs.
• Ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA/OSHA regulations.
• Conduct routine driver safety audits.
• Track KPIs to identify improvement areas and boost efficiency.
• Address operational issues promptly, troubleshoot and implement solutions.
• Provide high-quality customer service by addressing concerns with stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, partners, and customers about terminal operations.
