Job summary

Omaha Airport Authority seeks a Custodial Supervisor to lead daily cleaning operations in the terminal. You will supervise custodial staff, schedule work, and coordinate with airline and tenant personnel to ensure timely tasks and high standards of cleanliness.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will develop budgets and specifications for supplies, monitor compliance with policies, and train staff while maintaining security of equipment and facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or any combination of education and experience that provides the required skills.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in commercial building cleaning.
• Ability to obtain a Non-Movement Area driver qualification within the probationary/qualification period and maintain the certification throughout employment.
• Valid Nebraska or Iowa driver’s license.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to direct and exercise oversight control.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Facilities Manager in planning functions, provide direction/oversight of the department, monitor work assignments, and ensure tasks are performed efficiently.
• Supervise, direct, and train department personnel.
• Assist in developing budgets and technical specifications for acquisition of supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate staffing and schedules as directed by the Facilities Manager.
• Perform annual reviews of departmental, non-supervisory personnel as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
• Ensure compliance with Authority rules, regulations, and policies and report violations to the Facilities Manager.
• Maintain attendance records and complete absence slips in a timely manner.
• Inspect building and coordinate custodial tasks to meet project demands.
• Communicate essential information via radio and coordinate with other departments.
• Cross-utilize staff with other departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
