Job summary

Omaha Airport Authority is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to oversee custodial services in the terminal, coordinating with the Facilities Manager to maintain high cleanliness standards. You will schedule, train, and evaluate staff while ensuring policy compliance.

The role emphasizes supervision, safety, and interdepartmental coordination, with responsibilities to manage shifts and logs, and to support daily operations in a fast-paced airport environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or any combination of education and experience that provides the required skills.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in commercial building cleaning.
• Ability to obtain a Non-Movement Area driver qualification within the probationary/qualification period and maintain the certification throughout employment
• Valid Nebraska or Iowa driver’s license.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to direct and exercise oversight control.
• Capable of producing desired results while effectively utilizing available resources.
• Ability to interact professionally in all situations.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Facilities Manager in planning functions, provide direction/oversight of the department, monitor work assignments, and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Supervise, direct, and train department personnel.
• Assist the Facilities Manager in developing budgets and technical specifications for supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate staffing and schedules as directed by the Facilities Manager.
• Perform annual reviews of departmental personnel as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
• Supervise compliance with Authority rules and policies; investigate and document violations to the Facilities Manager.
• Ensure safe and secure operations of all work areas.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activities with other departments.
