Job summary

Utah Valley University’s School of Education invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position as a Secondary Education faculty member with expertise in disciplinary literacy, classroom management, educational technology, or assessment of teaching quality in the Secondary & Special Education Department.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses and bring K-12 teaching experience to the program.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in education or closely related field is required or ABD with defense completed by start date.
At least two years of relevant K-12 learner-centered teaching experience.
Evidence of strong content knowledge and ability to teach undergraduate courses in secondary education.

Responsibilities

Teach professional-level courses in secondary education and related subjects aligned with expertise.
Maintain accurate reports and records related to student accountability and performance; mentor students in teacher performance assessments.
Engage in scholarly activities and participate in college service and accreditation efforts.
Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to support teacher preparation and program quality.
Support program assessment and continuous improvement activities as needed.
