Job summary

University of Texas Golf Club Tennis Center in Austin, Texas is seeking a part-time Tennis Center Staff to support the Tennis Center Manager in daily operations of the courts and pro shop. The role focuses on welcoming members, scheduling court time and lessons, and maintaining a ready-to-use facility for the next shift.

You will greet members, build relationships, and help keep the pro shop neat and stocked while ensuring excellent customer service and a smooth operation at the Tennis Center.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a tennis or sports facility.
• Outgoing personality with strong phone etiquette.
• Racket stringing is a plus; willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and schedule lessons and court time in a friendly, professional manner.
• Develop and maintain personalized relationships with members.
• Keep the pro shop neat, well-stocked, and prepare the tennis center for operations.
• Sweep courts and ready the courts and pro shop for the next shift.

Description

The Tennis Center Staff assists the Tennis Center Manager in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Tennis and Pickleball courts as well as the pro shop. They schedule court time and maintain the pro shop. The Tennis Center Staff provide excellent customer service, go above and beyond for our members.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greets, schedules lessons and court time and assists members in a friendly and professional manner.
• Initiates, develops and maintains personalized relationships with members.
• Ensures the pro shop is neat, orderly, and well-stocked. Helps ensure the Tennis Center is always ready to host.
• Sweeping couple courts each end of shift. Leaving the courts and pro shop ready for the next morning shift.

Schedule:

Must be able to work Friday evenings, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

• Experience stringing tennis rackets is a plus. Learning how to do it and become proficient at it is highly encouraged. Extra compensation for stringing rackets.
• Must be outgoing and have good phone etiquette.
