Job summary

Roof Above is seeking a Tenant Engagement Specialist to foster inclusive volunteer programs within our housing units. You will collaborate with program and property staff to build community, engage tenants, and coordinate events and donations.

You’ll manage communications, cultivate relationships with tenants, volunteers, staff, and donors, and help operationalize opportunities for involvement. Evening and weekend availability is required as part of working with tenants across housing programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 1-2 years fundraising, communication or volunteer program experience.
• Desire to work with people who have experienced chronic homelessness and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Host regular community meetings and social engagements for tenants.
• Organize events and activities to engage tenants and volunteers.
• Coordinate and operationalize special programs, events, and donation drives.
• Maintain a robust calendar and share updates via multiple channels.
• Act as liaison with program staff, tenants, volunteers and donors.
• Utilize CRM (Virtuous) to track volunteer engagement and logistics.
• Support housing stability initiatives with creative interventions.
• Attend weekly program meetings and communicate updates.
