Job summary

WS Development is seeking a Tenant Construction Manager in the Boston area to lead and coordinate complex tenant projects from concept through lease execution and store opening.

You will serve as the primary tenant contact, translate construction and lease requirements into actionable guidance, and ensure a high-touch experience while maintaining rigorous milestone tracking and budgets. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in tenant construction, project management, owner's representative, or construction coordination roles.
• Track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects while keeping everyone informed and aligned.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; you write clearly, run productive meetings, and know how to deliver hard news without damaging the relationship.
• Highly organized with a disciplined approach to milestone tracking and follow-through.
• Solid understanding of lease agreements, construction documents, work letters, and city/state permitting processes.
• Genuine service mindset; you take pride in making a complicated process feel manageable for the people you're supporting.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of the tenant relationship and act as primary point of contact through lease and opening.
• Coordinate across internal teams and external parties to keep things moving.
• Own the critical path for each tenant project, tracking milestones and surfacing risks early.
• Draft and negotiate construction work letters and manage landlord deliverables.
• Maintain project records and provide regular updates to leadership.
