Job summary

WS Development is seeking a Tenant Construction Manager who guides the tenant through construction, lease execution, and regulatory steps with a focus on relationship-building and proactive problem-solving. You’ll coordinate across leasing, legal, design, and external partners to keep multiple projects on track and align stakeholders through clear, high-touch communication.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in tenant construction, project management, owner’s representative, or construction coordination roles
• Track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with strong communication
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to deliver hard news while maintaining relationships
• Highly organized with milestone tracking and follow-through
• Familiarity with lease agreements, construction documents, and city/state permitting processes

Responsibilities

• Be the face of the tenant relationship from early interest through store opening
• Coordinate across internal teams and external parties to keep projects moving
• Draft and negotiate construction work letters and define landlord/tenant responsibilities
• Develop and manage project budgets and track costs
• Maintain project records in systems like Salesforce and provide regular status updates
• Travel regionally and nationally as needed
• Apply AI tools to improve tenant communications and project tracking
