Job summary

The Carroll School seeks a substitute teacher on its Wayland campus to support Upper School students in grades 8-9. The contract runs from November 2026 through June 2027, with teaching hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and additional duties as needed.

Required is a Bachelor’s Degree and classroom experience is preferred; candidates should be enthusiastic, energetic, and have strong communication skills. A willingness to train in specialized approaches for language-based learners is essential.

• Bachelor’s Degree required or preferred; classroom experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons prepared by Carroll School faculty from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
• Create lesson plans as needed and manage classroom routines.
• Support lunch/recess and dismissal duties; provide extended coverage as needed.
• Build positive relationships with students, families and staff.
