Jacent Inc. Staffing Specialist role supports field, corporate office, and distribution center hiring managers by managing requisitions in the Applicant Tracking System; sourcing candidates; and moving candidates through onboarding.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills, detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling surge hiring in a fast-paced environment. This temporary position offers broad exposure and collaboration with HR teams.

Responsibilities

• Drives the candidate management process with hiring manager.
• Source prospective candidates using ATS, job boards and community organizations.
• Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting colleges, agencies, recruiters, and media.
• Attracts applicants by posting ads and contacting recruiters.
• Determines qualifications by interviewing and referencing, comparing to requirements.
• Reviews resumes for appropriate skill sets.
• Conducts behavior-based pre-screen interviews via the telephone.
• Evaluates candidates and presents qualified matches to the Hiring Manager.
• Communicates job expectations clearly to candidates.
• Manages the hiring process for selected candidates and onboarding.
• Ensures onboarding is complete and timely.
• Adheres to safe work practices and company policies.

The Staffing Specialist role will support the field, corporate office, and distribution center hiring managers by managing requisitions within the Applicant Tracking System; sourcing candidates for open positions using active and passive recruiting techniques; and moving candidates through the hiring and onboarding process. The ideal candidate is a self-starter; has strong interpersonal skills; effective oral and written communication skills; has knowledge of recruitment and HR procedures with an ability to be detail oriented and highly organized. This position will be temporary to assist with surge hiring.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Drives the candidate management process with hiring manager
• Source prospective candidates using Applicant Tracking System, job boards and community based organizations
• Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport
• Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements; contacting recruiters, using newsgroups and job sites
• Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements
• Reviews resumes for appropriate skill sets to qualify candidates
• Conducts behavior based pre-screen interviews via the telephone daily
• Evaluates candidates against job requirements, engages candidate in the opportunity and presents qualified candidates to the Hiring Manager
• Clearly communicates expectations of the position to the candidate
• Manages the hiring process for selected candidates
• Ensures onboarding process is completely properly and timely
• Understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times to ensure a safe work environment.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Experience and Credentials

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
• Experience using social media and other online methods to develop talent pipelines a plus
