Job summary

MaineHealth's Maine Medical Center – Biddeford is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse II for the Cardiac Medical/Surgical Unit. This temporary, night-shift (1900-0700) position spans 13 weeks in a 40-bed unit providing care for acute medical, cardiac, and telemetry patients.

Minimum of 1 year RN experience required with BSN preferred. Licensure as a Registered Nurse and BLS are required; ACLS/PALS must be obtained within 12 months as per policy.

Qualifications

• RN with at least 1 year of experience in acute care.
• Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency required.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in the Acute Care unit with nursing assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Demonstrate professional leadership and collaboration with the care team.

The Cardiac Medical/Surgical Unit at Maine Medical Center - Biddeford is a 40 Bed unit providing care of acute medical, cardiac, and telemetry patients, providing a dynamic and supportive environment for nurses at all stages of their careers. Team members care for a diverse patient population while building strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and cardiac monitoring skills. As nurses grow and advance in their practice, opportunities for Intermediate Care (IMC) training are available, allowing them to expand their expertise and confidently care for higher-acuity patients when needed. Summary

The Registered Nurse II - Acute Care - MMC BID SAN roleis responsible forthe management of patient care, including clinical nursing practice/caring, leadership, management, professionalism, and growth/development, as well as the independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education:Graduate of an accredited School of Nursingrequired; BSN preferred.
• License/Certifications:Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurserequired. Current BLS certificationrequiredor must obtain within30 daysof start date. ICU, SCU, ED and PACURN'srequire ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date orin accordance withDepartment guidelines. OB, NICURN'srequire NRP Certification within one year ofstartdate orin accordance withDepartment guidelines. Positions that are fully remote will not require BLS.
• Experience:One year of RN experiencerequired. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse - Acute Care role.
• Additional Skills/Requirements Required:Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RNassistingLaboring Womenrequired.

The pay range for this position is $75.00 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
