• Current state RN license required; BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days.
• ICU/SCU/ED and PACU RN experience; ACLS and PALS within one year; OB/NICU NRP within one year.
• One year of RN experience required.
• Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for adult patients in the 56-bed Acute Care unit with telemetry.
• Demonstrate advanced nursing practice, leadership, and collaboration with the health care team.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for complex adult populations.

The Adult Acute Care Unit (MS3) is a 56 Bed / 36 Telemetry – Medical / Surgical unit with a concentration on complex adult patient populations from a wide variety of cardiac, pulmonary, GI, post-surgical, and orthopedics.Develop andutilizeadvanced organizational, prioritization, communication, and leadership skills while working closely with other healthcare professionals in a team-oriented work environment.

Summary

The Registered Nurse II - Acute Care – MMC BID SAN roleis responsible forthe management of patient care, including clinical nursing practice/caring, leadership, management, professionalism, and growth/development, as well as the independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

• Education:Graduate of an accredited School of Nursingrequired; BSN preferred.
• License/Certifications:Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurserequired. Current BLS certificationrequiredor must obtain within30 daysof start date. ICU, SCU, ED and PACURN’srequire ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date orin accordance withDepartment guidelines. OB, NICURN’srequire NRP Certification within one year ofstartdate orin accordance withDepartment guidelines. Positions that are fully remote will not require BLS.
• Experience:One year of RN experiencerequired. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse – Acute Care role.
• Additional Skills/Requirements Required:Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RNassistingLaboring Womenrequired.

The pay range for this position is $37.09 to $50.17 per hour for Nurses with greater than 1 year of experience (based on experience).

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
