A leading company in the HVAC service sector is seeking a temporary intern to assist with parts ordering and procurement from May to August. The role involves proactive communication with suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery and excellent service. Ideal candidates will possess effective communication skills and a general understanding of company operations. This position offers a competitive hourly rate and valuable experience in the HVAC industry.
This is a temporary role from May-August. Pay is $18/hr.
An integral part of the intern function will be ordering, expediting, and searching for alternate suppliers to fulfill parts on back order and for least cost alternatives. The role requires proactive communication with customers regarding parts ordering and ETA status. Expediting ordered parts and maintaining a daily log of orders and receipts are essential to ensure timely delivery and excellent customer service.
General knowledge of company operations and the ability to learn specific division functions. Knowledge of the HVAC service/repair industry for residential and commercial equipment is a plus.
Effective communication with suppliers, management, internal teams, and customers. Proficiency in using Great Plains, CRM, and Microsoft Excel for ordering and reporting.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Availability for overtime, including some Saturdays. Extensive use of system applications, supplier and customer interactions, and procurement activities.
