Job summary

Florida International University in Miami is seeking a Temporary Pre-College Tutor for grades 4-12 to provide in-person and online tutoring on FIU campus. You will work under the SAS team and support student learning, complete session feedback, and communicate progress to coordinators and directors.

Evening and weekend availability is encouraged to meet student needs. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma and 1 year of subject-area experience; preferred candidates may be pursuing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 1 year of experience in subject areas or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Pursuing or have obtained a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Ability to take direction and work independently as needed.
• Patient and enjoys working with children.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Tutor middle & high school students in-person and online.
• Take direction and work independently as needed.
• Complete session feedback at the end of each tutoring session.
• Communicate with Coordinators & Director on student progress.
