Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide centralized scheduling for the Shared Patient Access Center.
  • Interact with patients and families via telephone, providing information and scheduling services.
  • Address routine complaints and issues, escalating non-routine matters to supervisors.

Job Description:

Patient Access Liaisons (PAL) provide centralized scheduling services related to patient access, scheduling, and support to ensure effective and efficient healthcare delivery, aiming for a patient experience of excellence. The Shared Patient Access Center handles access requests for Boston Children’s Hospital patients. PALs offer a unique appointment experience, elevating patient satisfaction. They work directly with callers to respond to questions and issues, ensuring proficiency, accuracy, and quality of service.

Fully remote position, preferably for candidates located in the New England area.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 11:30 am to 8:00 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Provide centralized scheduling for the Shared Patient Access Center, meeting patient access, scheduling, and satisfaction goals.
  • Interact with patients and families via telephone, providing information, clarifying needs, and offering registration and scheduling services for primary and specialty care.
  • Register patients by collecting necessary information.
  • Handle prescription and refill requests.
  • Address routine complaints and issues, escalating non-routine matters to supervisors.
  • Participate in team meetings and suggest process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of related experience, preferably in customer service, call centers, or healthcare.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with Epic Scheduling and PowerChart Medical Records is preferred.
  • Experience with CISCO call center software is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
