Job summary

Chaffey College Information Technology Services seeks an in-person staff member to install, maintain, and troubleshoot AV and peripheral equipment across campus. The role requires loading software on multiple operating systems and supporting data communications and telephone systems.

Evening/weekend hours may be needed to support events and classes. The candidate should have a high school diploma, at least two years of AV/telecom experience, and the ability to work well with students and staff

Qualifications

• Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds in a community college environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of AV/telecommunications equipment and related systems.
• Skill in handling high voltage power supplies safely.
• Ability to follow directions and established protocols.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty and staff.

Responsibilities

• Install, reconfigure, relocate, repair, reinitiate and maintain computer/audio-visual and peripheral equipment (projectors, monitors, printers, etc.).
• Load software on multiple operating systems and image workstations.
• Assist in installation and maintenance of data communications and telephone systems via Cat-6/fiber optics and related equipment.
• Perform other related duties and temporary/vacation relief as assigned.
