Job summary

Quality Enclosures, Inc. in Central Islip, NY is seeking a Temporary IT Support Associate – Level 1 to join our team. This full-time, on-site role is temporary for up to six months, supporting end-user requests, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Ideal candidates are tech-curious, strong communicators, and eager to learn IT procedures with good organizational skills and the ability to handle devices and peripherals. Position may require local travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or technical coursework in a related discipline is a plus, but not required.
• Previous customer service, technical support, help desk, or computer-related experience is a plus, but not required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Friendly, patient, and customer-service-oriented attitude.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and task-prioritization skills.
• Strong note-taking and documentation habits.
• Ability to follow instructions and document troubleshooting steps.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and IT procedures.
• Ability to work independently while knowing when to ask for assistance.
• Reliable transportation for occasional local travel between company locations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Respond to employee IT requests by phone, email, chat, or ticketing system.
• Create and update support tickets.
• Gather basic information about users’ issues.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist with password and account login issues and basic Outlook and email configuration support.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications and basic Windows troubleshooting.
• Install and uninstall approved software and troubleshoot printers and scanners.
• Troubleshoot computers, monitors, peripherals, and basic network connectivity.
• Provide remote support using approved tools and follow security procedures.
• Document troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system and follow up on escalated issues.
