Job summary

Bishop & Company is seeking an experienced HR Generalist for a temporary, in-office role in Honolulu, HI. The assignment focuses on benefits administration, onboarding, HRIS management, compliance, and employee support to ensure smooth HR operations.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented, with strong communication and analytic skills, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and delivering exceptional service to internal customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of HR experience with emphasis in one or more areas: benefits administration, onboarding, HRIS management, compliance, or HR administration.
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Benefits Administration: enrollments, changes, terminations, billing, and communications; assist employees with questions.
• Onboarding & Recruiting Support: pre-employment activities, background checks, start dates, new hire orientations, onboarding audits, and referrals.
• Employee Programs & Communications: develop and implement wellness initiatives; track participation; support education and notices.
• HRIS & Reporting: process actions, maintain records, prepare recruitment reports and dashboards to improve visibility.
• HR Operations & Compliance: respond to inquiries, support process improvements, assist with leave administration and regulatory notices.
