Job summary

NC State University is seeking a Temporary Howling Cow Team Member to assist customers, take orders and ensure fast, accurate service in a high-volume environment.

The position offers 30 hours per week with weekday, weekend and holiday shifts. Pay ranges from $12 to $18 per hour. Benefits include Health Insurance for Temporary Employees and LEAD courses. This role requires lifting up to 25 pounds and the ability to work in cold conditions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service and/or food service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull or carry.
• Ability to occasionally work in cold conditions inside.
• Ability to work around chemicals and wet, slippery floors or surfaces.
• Ability to continuously work with others.

Responsibilities

• This position is much more than just scooping ice cream! We operate in a fast paced, high volume and demanding environment (during weekends and prime weekday hours). Speed and accuracy are a must! Must communicate with customers, fill orders and clean following set list throughout the shift.

Work Schedule

• Work schedule includes weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts, with hours ranging from 10:30am – 9:00pm. Hours may be varied due to operational needs.
• 30 hours per week, hours and days may vary due to operational needs.
