Priority Personnel is seeking a Temporary Grant Coordinator to support a department at Texas State University. The role involves coordinating program activities, supporting recruitment, and managing tutoring and afterschool initiatives.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and experience with academic support programs, program development, and data reporting. The assignment is expected to last until August and pays $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work or related field.
  • Experience with academic support programs that include academic advising and college exploration/application processes.
  • Experience developing programs, events, trips, and workshops for students.
  • Effective writing and speaking skills.
  • Experience with computer software (Microsoft suite) and database management platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with program recruitment.
  • Develop and implement co-curricular programming for students and parents/guardians including workshops, trips, and events.
  • Develop and oversee afterschool academic tutoring on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure students effectively utilize tutoring services provided and communicate needs from tutors as appropriate.
  • Assist Director with Saturday Instruction Sessions (once a month).
  • Serve as a lead for afterschool tutors, interns, Saturday instructors, summer instructors and summer resident assistants/mentors.
  • Oversee the assessment and reporting of participant progress, personal growth, and academic performance.
  • Provide college admission and financial aid process information. Ensure that senior participants take appropriate steps toward high school graduation and college enrollment.
