Job description

We are seeking a Grant Administrator for the Upward Bound Math & Science program. The role is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing all aspects of the grant program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and college requirements.

Essential Functions
  • Demonstrate TSTC Core values with stakeholders and students.
  • Administer the grant process including recruitment, selection, tracking, and documentation.
  • Maintain fiscal accountability, compile reports for the TSTC Office of Sponsored Programs and the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Manage day‑to‑day program activities, collect and analyze data on program performance and student progress.
  • Ensure services comply with Department of Education regulations.
  • Monitor expenditures, reconcile budgets, and submit invoices.
  • Prepare, analyze, and submit required reports to the TSTC Office of Sponsored Programs and the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Review and approve curriculum implementation for student sessions/activity.
  • Facilitate workshops, retreats, enrichment trips, service learning projects, and employer tours.
  • Identify and resolve problems and conflicts for enrolled students.
  • Develop and maintain an evaluation plan; hire, supervise, and evaluate project staff.
  • Organize staff meetings and provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Travel for professional development, student enrichment trips, leadership retreats, and cultural excursions.
  • Represent the grant program at local, state, and national organizations and agencies.
  • Co‑ordinate with principals, counselors, teachers, industry partners, and agencies.
  • Establish positive relationships with school districts, agencies, and employers to meet program objectives.
  • Collaborate with TSTC staff to support student success and retention.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two to three years of experience in TRIO and/or migrant programs, student services, or academic support for disadvantaged students.
  • Professional experience in an educational related field.
  • Knowledge of federal grant programs and operations.
  • Managerial skills in budget planning.

  • Experience overcoming barriers similar to those faced by program participants.
  • Committed to program goals and objectives and student achievement.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
Salary

Hiring Range: $49,084.31 – $53,992.74 USD Annual. Final salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
