Job summary

Cornell University seeks a benefits-eligible temporary Course Support Specialist to provide specialized course support in the Computer Science Department. Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree and 2 to 4 years relevant experience or equivalent combination.
  • Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Technically adept using a variety of business or technical programs to complete information management or production tasks (Microsoft Office suite, Course Management Systems, Slack, etc.).
  • Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide extensive course management support including updating CMS and course websites, canvas sites, Ed Discussions, Student Disability Services systems, Slack and related platforms.
  • Coordinate exam/grading sessions, TA meetings, review sessions, and manage course logistics with confidentiality.
  • Support department events outside regular hours and foster an inclusive, respectful work environment.
