Job summary

Ascendo Resources is seeking a Temporary Bookkeeper for a Real Estate/Construction client in Midtown Manhattan. This 3+ month assignment requires hands-on accounting proficiency and the ability to hit the ground running, with a focus on real estate project-based activity and general ledger maintenance.

The role reports to the CFO and works with the accounting team on accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and project-related finance. Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days onsite, 2 days WFH.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
• Hands-on Acumatica experience required.
• Experience in real estate, construction, or project-based environments.
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.

• Support accounting related to real estate development and construction projects.
• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger activity.

Temporary Bookkeeper – Real Estate / Construction

Location: Midtown Manhattan, NY

Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite / 2 WFH

Compensation: $35-$45/hour

Duration: 3+ months (Covering for Medical Leave)

A leading real estate development and construction organization is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper for a temporary leave coverage assignment. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong accounting fundamentals and hands-on Acumatica experience who can step into an open seat and make an immediate impact.

The role will report directly to the CFO and work closely with the Treasury Manager and a broader accounting team.
