The role handles patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and payments to ensure a welcoming and efficient patient experience. The position requires 1–2 years of customer service or healthcare front desk experience, with accuracy, confidentiality, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of customer service, administrative, or healthcare front office experience.
• Prior clinic, urgent care, or physician office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors promptly and professionally, ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Registers patients by verifying demographic, insurance, and financial information accurately.
• Collects copays and balances, posts payments, and provides receipts per protocol.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and coordinates referrals as directed.
• Answers multi-line phones, responds to inquiries, routes calls to departments.
• Ensures all forms, consents, and documents are completed and scanned into the EMR.
• Analyzes health insurance benefits, eligibility, and obtains authorizations/referrals as needed.
• Maintains front desk, waiting area, and shared spaces tidy.
• Communicates effectively with clinical/non-clinical teams to support patient flow.
• Maintains HIPAA and OSHA confidentiality and compliance with policies.
• Supports staffing needs by traveling to other Urgent Care locations as required.
• Performs other duties and maintains regular attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
