Job summary

UC San Diego’s Triton Testing Center seeks a Testing Specialist to administer and supervise proctored testing services, including complex scheduling, data processing, and accommodations. You will support instructors and ensure secure, compliant testing operations, often working independently and supervising student staff.

Hours vary with finals and peak periods; some weeks exceed 40 hours. Background check and CANRA training may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with academic integrity and disability accommodations best practices and legal requirements.
• Familiarity with academic assessment/testing platforms and administering or using them.
• Ability to maintain productivity amid frequent interruptions.
• Working knowledge of common computer applications and data handling.
• Commitment to test security, confidentiality and high standards of integrity.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative services for the Triton Testing Center (TTC).
• Manage complex scheduling, planning, and coordination for tests.
• Provide assessment advice to instructors and handle data processing.
• Oversee testing operations and ensure secure testing environment.
• Supervise student staff when managers are unavailable.
