Job summary

UC San Diego's Triton Testing Center seeks a part-time Testing Specialist to manage administrative testing services, scheduling, and customer support. You will handle testing operations, maintain test security, and deliver accommodations perCANRA considerations, often with limited supervision.

The role requires strong organization, confidentiality, and effective communication with staff across departments; hours vary and may extend during peak periods, including finals weeks.

Qualifications

• Experience with academic integrity and disability accommodations best practices and legal requirements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of academic assessment/testing platforms and experience administering or using them.
• Experience maintaining a high standard of productivity despite frequent interruptions.
• Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.
• Solid knowledge of best practices for proctoring.
• Self-directed, able to respond to changes of pace normal in a Testing Center.
• Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality and test security.
• Sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with staff at all levels.
• Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.

Responsibilities

• The Specialist provides program support for the TTC, including scheduling and planning, assessment advice, data and test processing, and customer service.
• Responsible for testing operations and the testing environment, ensuring security and delivering accommodations.
• Supervises student staff when managers are not present.
