Job summary

SIMCO Electronics is seeking a Warehouse/Yard Associate for a temporary role in Allentown, PA. The position involves receiving, packing, and shipping equipment and materials, ensuring accurate documentation and proper handling for safe transport.

You will use FedEx, UPS, and other shipping systems, maintain stock levels, and help prepare daily shipment reports. The role requires basic computer skills and familiarity with packaging standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, and pointing device.
• Knowledge of incoming and final inspection practices.
• Knowledge of standard material handling and packaging practices.
• Skilled in use of foam in place packaging equipment.
• Experience in shipping and receiving department.
• Knowledge of major shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, Airborne Express).
• Familiar with online tracking systems for FedEx, Airborne Express and UPS.

Responsibilities

• Organize and separate equipment for will call, COD, and shipment.
• Update the computer system with status of will call, cod, and shipped equipment.
• Process documentation to accounting, purchasing, and customer service.
• Package all equipment securely for transport to customers/vendors.
• Communicate with shippers to address damages or shortages.
• Maintain inventory and stockroom organization.
• Print daily shipping reports from FedEx and UPS systems.
• Receive materials and distribute to appropriate areas.
